Malik James was born in California on Camp Pendleton but grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Bishop Miege High School.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Malik served in the United States Marine Corps. During his four years of service, he was meritoriously recognized and promoted numerous times and earned the rank of Sergeant in less than three years of service.
After a tour in Iraq, Malik was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps as a platoon sergeant.
Malik graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City’s School of Law, where he was awarded Top Oralist his first year, was a member of the Mock Trial Team, and participated in Moot Court.
Malik has over a decade of experience as a personal injury attorney and has successfully recovered millions of dollars in settlements for his clients. He has been named as a rising star on the prestigious Super Lawyers list since 2019.
Outside of the office, Malik enjoys spending time with his family, watching action movies, and golfing.
